Crock Pot Apple Sauce

  • 6-9 apples (I love honey crisp and red delicious apples)
  • 1/3-1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon (can always add more, I usually do, but this keeps it mild for those who prefer it that way)
  • **1/2 tsp. ground ginger (Optional)
  • **1/4 cup brown sugar (Optional)
  • **Orange or Lemon peels (Optional)
Wash, core, and peel all apples.   I find it best to wash, quarter, then peel the apples.   Place apples in crock pot.   Add apple cider, cinnamon, and any optional ingredients to crockpot.   Cover, and cook on low 3-4 hours.       After cooking mash and then enjoy :)   Can be stored in freezer for about 3-5 months.
